The American Nightmare
Updated: Jan 17
The willingness of some Americans to act on good conscience and follow basic laws is waning as strong delusions, hypnotic narratives, and social justice reform aim to destroy the United States. The nation is indeed being betrayed from within by those we thought trustworthy to lead. Read this statement from a progressive district attorney who callously predicted more killings after taking a soft approach to criminal prosecution. Or, listen to one leftist lawmaker talk about plans to empty out America's prisons:
Alongside media propaganda, open borders, race riots, medical mandates, and school indoctrination, releasing criminals to wreak havoc in society is another play from the communist handbook. These things are happening simultaneously, and by design, to bring America under the submission of a new global order. This is what the Soviets would call ideological subversion - the use of a nation’s current institutions (journalism, education, government, etc.) to psychologically redirect and transform the culture into a socialist utopia. Of course, if you've never taken time to study communist tactics, then you will find all of this hard to believe.
Sadly, we've reached a point in our society where many no longer think for themselves. After years of watching mainstream media and refusing to read anything after high school, Americans are content to go to the polls with a low voter-IQ and elect politicians based on their personality type rather than the content of their policies. This is a death sentence and it's exactly what the elites are counting on us to do.
"The Safe Neighborhoods and Schools Act" (known as Proposition 47) sounds like legislation focused on cleaning up streets, increasing police presence in high crime areas, and a plan to stop mass shootings in schools. In this case, what law abiding citizens or concerned parents wouldn't agree and vote to keep their families protected? Not to mention, important people standing at podiums and sitting behind desks in TV land have promised the Act affirms American values. Now, I can't say this is exactly how the bill was marketed to Californians, but I know one look at the overview tells the true story. If only people cared enough to read before they cast a ballot...
The overview says, “Proposition 47 implemented three broad changes to felony sentencing laws. First, it reclassified certain theft and drug possession offenses from felonies to misdemeanors. Second, it authorizes defendants currently serving sentences for felony offenses that would have qualified as misdemeanors under the proposition to petition courts for resentencing under the new misdemeanor provisions. Third, it authorizes defendants who have completed their sentences for felony convictions that would have qualified as misdemeanors under the proposition to apply and reclassify those convictions to misdemeanors.”
Since Prop 47 took effect on Nov. 5, 2014, Ballotpedia details, taken from the Public Policy Institute of California, says, "'Prop 47 led to [estimated] rises in the larceny theft rate of about 135 per 100,000 residents, an increase of close to 9 percent compared to the 2014 rate.'" Ballotpedia also reported "[r]esearchers found no relationship between violent crimes and Prop 47," and a criminology professor claimed "crime rates going up or down tell us nothing about the source of those trends...evidence seems to be mounting that Prop 47 is not the...key culprit."
Do lawless people have a right to be lawless?
You don't need to conduct an intense data analysis or earn a criminal justice degree to understand the depravity of the human heart and mind. In a world full of sinful people, the guaranteed response you can expect from decriminalizing an act is that the act will be repeated more frequently and escalate to more violence. Want to know what happens when lawmakers give perpetrators the right to steal up to $950 worth of merchandise without incurring a felony charge? Google "California smash and grab" and take a moment to scroll through the headlines, videos, and statements.
Prop 47 also made early release and lighter sentencing possible for those who commit "nonviolent" crimes. Addicts, those with a history of abuse, and the supposedly mentally ill are being diverted to social services. Many of their court hearings are deferred pending successful completion of rehabilitation programs. Temporary behavior modification and clean drug tests are now grounds for releasing predators back into communities - some of which are experiencing defunded police departments. We have plenty of evidence that bills like Prop 47 are destroying lives. It's really very simple: drug dealers, child abusers, thieves, and murders do not belong in treatment centers - they belong in prison, and in some cases they should be put to death.
Highfalutin college professors (brainwashed by social justice propaganda) are being given license to speak as experts on matters they know little about first-hand. The fact that someone studies trends and publishes peer reviewed articles in scholarly journals means absolutely nothing when compared to the pain of violent crime survivors and the experiences of law enforcement officers who risk their lives everyday. It's hard to believe things have gone this far in America. Communism is here, but there's still time to turn things around. We need to pray for divine intervention, but we also need to arm ourselves with knowledge and be prepared to take a stand against lawlessness. No matter the cost.
